KATHERINE MOE

Katherine Moe

Katherine Moe is an artist from Northern Alberta, Canada.  This region is known for its long summer days and big blue skies, long cold winters and dancing northern lights.  It is the land of rolling prairies and rich farmland.  Vast forests and wildlife are present close by.

Katherine's medium of choice is acrylic due to its variety of paint types from High Flow to Heavy Body and the various mediums that can be used with the paint to make it accommodate many styles.  Katherine enjoys painting a variety of subjects that may include old vehicles, flowers, still life, and abstract patterns and designs.

Katherine is also a print maker and explores the processes of Lino cuts, cyanotypes, and mono printing on a press and on a gelli plate.

Katherine is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, peace River Chapter and is a member of Print Artists North.

She has shown her work in the following local galleries:  Art Gallery Grande Prairie, The Grande Prairie Creative Art Centre, Beaverlodge Art and Cultural Centre, Fairview Art and Crafts Centre, Dawson Creek Art Gallery and The Art Gallery of Ft. St. John.
